JEY PONTI, PT, MS, CERT. DN
Originally from Spokane, Washington, Jey grew up the son of a veterinarian who worked with a diverse mix of animals. One of his primary responsibilities was the rehabilitation of injured wildlife, including orphaned deer, owls, hawks and the occasional raccoon or badger. This unique experience inspired an interest in physical therapy where he could work to improve a person’s physical health and function, but with much less risk of being bitten, kicked or clawed! Jey received his Masters of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Montana in 2000 and moved to the Flathead Valley in 2004. Jey joined the team at ARS in September 2020 after working at another local facility as a past owner and Director of Clinical Operations. His treatment is focused on outpatient orthopedic and sports physical therapy and special interests include dysfunctions of the spine, shoulder, as well as sports specific rehabilitation for athletes and outdoor recreationalists. Jey has extensive training in all orthopedic dysfunctions and sports injuries throughout the body and is highly trained in hands-on manual therapy skills including spinal manipulation and dry needling.
Jey is an avid outdoorsman living in Whitefish who enjoys mountain biking, alpine/telemark skiing, running rivers, fly fishing and taking his wife, Julie, and two daughters on as many outdoor adventures as they will let him.
